When I first started using Notion, it was because I was too busy to sit down and take the time to fill in my paper planner/journal. But then all the templates I found were super involved, overly aesthetic, and would have taken just as much, if not more, time for me to implement and use. So I started from scratch in the middle of June 2022 and just made simple headings for each day of the week, tucking my tasks and events away underneath them. No color, no frills.

Over time, I’ve made my planner a little more complicated with dedicated monthly pages and a page for each week, sometimes adding a quote or picture, but it’s still very basic at it’s core, with only a smidgen of flair. Since I knew I struggled going through templates, and I needed to setup my next year, I figured I would offer the basics to anyone who wanted them.
